hurricane florence

In the wake of Hurricane Florence, thousands of Carolinians have been displaced from their homes and face an uphill battle to rebuild a life that resembles normalcy. These unfortunate circumstances give us all a chance to show what being a neighbor truly means. Join Habitat Charlotte in our relief efforts today.

Although the Charlotte area was not as impacted by Hurricane Florence as many other parts of the state, the weather did slow down our construction operations. Construction starts were delayed on three new homes, which means three families will have to wait a little longer before finally having a safe place to call home.

You can help us get back on track by volunteering your time on a construction site.

Volunteer Later

Many areas east of Charlotte will be the places with the greatest need of volunteers, but it can take weeks – or even months – to determine what kinds of manpower needs there will be.

If you’re ready to raise your hand for a future out-of-town volunteer opportunity, Habitat Charlotte will work with other Habitat affiliates and Habitat International to determine the greatest need for volunteers in the coming weeks and months. Simply provide us with your contact information, and we’ll reach out when we have news.
