Volunteer Opportunities

Since our founding in 1983, more than 1,500 families have realized their dream of safe, affordable homeownership in partnership with Habitat Charlotte.  This is only possible because of the hard work and consistent dedication of community volunteers.

There are plenty of ways to get involved . . .

Construction – Building New Homes, Repairing Existing Homes

Our Construction Department is hard at work making affordable home ownership a reality.  You can join a crew, or recruit one, and pick up some valuable building skills in the process. Learn more about construction volunteer opportunities.

I'm interested in INDIVIDUAL volunteer opportunities.
I'm interested in GROUP volunteer opportunities.

Retail Operations – Charlotte ReStores, Julia’s Café & Books

The Charlotte ReStore and Julia's Cafe & Books are great places to volunteer, make new friends and have fun in the process. Learn more by visiting the ReStore and Julia's websites.

You don't have to wield a hammer to make a dent in poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte has lots of non-construction related volunteer opportunities as well.  Read more about our non-construction volunteer opportunities.

Other Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity has plenty of other ways to get involved:  Join Habitat Young Professionals, or serve in the AmeriCorps program.  We also provide several opportunities each year to work with our sister-affiliate Habitat El Salvador.
