Thrivent Builds with Habitat Charlotte

Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a financial, volunteer and advocacy alliance formed between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity. This special initiative capitalizes on the Lutheran community’s generosity, allowing Habitat to expand its capacity and build more homes for low-income families.

In Charlotte, local Thrivent Financial members along with local Lutheran congregations came together to raise the capital and workforce to build a home for a hardworking family in Spring 2007.  Construction began this spring on the second Thrivet Builds home. Since 1991, Thrivent Financial and its members have worked with Habitat for Humanity affiliates nationwide to build more than 500 homes, raise more than $25 million and contribute more than 1.4 million volunteer hours in homebuilding time.
