To apply for Habitat homeownership potential applicants must first request a homeownership application from our office during our open application period. If applicants meet our initial income and credit requirements, they will be invited to attend a mandatory orientation session. Orientations explain all qualifications for becoming a Habitat homeowner and provide an overview of Habitat's Homeowner-In-Process training program. In addition, they provide helpful information on what it's like to be a Habitat Charlotte homeowner.
There will be at least one request period each month (unless otherwise noted) when we will be distributing applications for homeownership. You may request an application by completing the Application Request Form seen below (by clicking here); when that is received, we'll email the application packet with instructions to you. Be sure to fill out the application packet carefully, and submit all required documentation: completed application, two recent months of paystubs (and/or proof of any other stable income), and the $5 application fee. Your application will not be processed without all of this information.
