habitat for humanity of charlotte presents: artistic challenge

Raising Awareness for Affordable Housing

Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte launched an Artistic Challenge for Affordable Housing Awareness on October 27, 2007. The initiative, hosted by the new Earth Fare gourmet grocer in Morrison at South Park, was designed to raise awareness around affordable housing in Charlotte. The Artistic Challenge was focused on painting household items which were donated to the Habitat ReStore. Leslie Nease from the hit reality series, Survivor, lended a helping hand to paint the items along with local professional artist in Charlotte. The painted items helped highlight housing issues in Charlotte.
