The Habitat Charlotte office, Charlotte ReStores and Julia's Café & Books will be closed Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day. The Habitat Charlotte office will also be closed on Saturday, July 1.

Who knew turning 30 would look this good?

In 1983 Habitat Charlotte had little more than a charter, a vision and a will to serve.

This fall the affordable housing ministry will start construction on its 1,000th new home.

30th-shirt-back1But that’s only part of the picture; the total number of Charlotte families served–a metric that also includes those who’ve purchased vacant, existing homes that were acquired and rehabbed, as well as owners of older homes on the receiving end of our critical repair program–is just about to pass the 1,250 mark.

That means approximately 5,000 Charlotteans wake up every morning in a decent, affordable Habitat house.

Our homeowners, volunteers, supporters and staff think it’s time to celebrate, so we're throwing a party on November 2nd at the NC Music Factory's Fillmore, click here to register for the event

We hope you’ll join us.
